Williamsburg Day Two

Today was our first full day in Williamsburg. We sat down this morning and made a list of what everyone would like to do while we are on this vacation.

The kids want to go to Busch Gardens, which we plan to do on Wednesday, Water World, Go Karts Plus and the beach. My dad wants to go to Jamestown and Go Karts Plus. Andy said he'll do whatever. My mom wants to see a 4D movie, go to the Croc Outlet and eat at Captain George's.  On my wish list was eat at Chipotle, go to Tuesday Morning (to check for scrapbook supplies, of course), and take lots of family photos.

Last year I took a group photo on the first and last days and then scrap booked them both.  Here is our photo from day one this year:

As usual, it took me a minute to remember how to set the timer on the camera, so everyone laughed at me as I tried to get ready for the photo. What they didn't know, was I set it to take ten continuos shots. They thought the fact that the camera kept shooting was hilarious. Here's a sampling of what it caught:

After our group photo, we headed out to lunch. This time I got my way and we went to Chipotle.

Oh how I love Chipotle.

After lunch, we headed to the grocery store. While I was savoring my burrito bowl, Andy researched grocery stores and found a raving review on yelp for a Harris Teeter a few miles away. The GPS took us down a goat path, but surprisingly enough, at the end of it was the Harris Teeter. We spent a ridiculously long time grocery shopping. Andy particularly enjoyed the beer and wine aisle. (Something we sorely lack in PA)

After we got the groceries back to the room and put away, the kids wanted to go to the pool. My parents took them and Andy and I caught up a few minutes later. Libby was in the pool when we got there.

She swam for a little bit then got out for an airbrush tattoo.

I took a few more pics around the pool then we headed in to the club house to find the game room.

After a trip around the club house we found the "game room". Libby said "1981 called and they want their games back." However, the antiquated status of the games didn't keep anyone from playing them!

Mom and I hung out while everyone played.

My dad got cold and left. Here's where we found him.

We went back to our room to eat dinner and hang out. We had sushi from the Harris Teeter and Libby had this rainbow cake that she took an "artsy" shot of.

The girls signed up for a chocolate truffle making class in the club house at 7:30. Andy and I walked them over, only to find out it is resort policy that all minors have to have a paying adult in attendance with them. They were pretty insistent that no one who didn't pay be allowed to stay, so Andy had to go to another room. He still managed to sneak a few pictures of us before the class started.

When we were done we had three plates of what ended up being $30 truffles. Not sure it was totally worth it, but we did have fun.

We went back to the room and relaxed. I struggled to try to decide what to do with my photos, and still haven't figures out how I want to scrap them.  Libby enjoyed the jacuzzi tub in my parents' bathroom and Andy drank beer. A good time was had by all as we prepared for another day.

Happy Scrappin'!!
